Although having practiced in New Hampshire in the past, Dr. Jonathan Bean is a South Carolina native. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Harding University where he was a Trustee Scholarship Recipient for academic achievement. He attended dental school at The Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine where he received honors in the field of Oral Surgery. Dr. Bean completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at University of Kentucky, followed by his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Bean is board certified by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and he practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has significant clinical experience in dental implants, including immediate dental implant placement, and full arch restorations. He is certified in Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Bean maintains professional memberships in The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and several other local dental organizations.
Emergency care for patients with complex maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and other hospital-based care are also areas of interest of Dr. Bean. He has worked in several New Hampshire hospitals in the past, and is looking to renew these privileges.
When he is not working, Dr. Bean enjoys fishing, running, college football, and spending time with his wife and his three children.
